Scholarships

The Massaquoi Foundation Scholarship Program awards merit-based scholarships to top scoring secondary school science students in Sierra Leone. Student merits will be assessed based on the annual national results which outline science scores for all students in the country.

The Scholarship will represent a multi-year commitment from the Foundation (subject to review annually). We will sponsor our Scholars for the duration of their remaining tenure in secondary school as they cultivate their interest in Science. The Foundation has committed to this full sponsorship covering tuition, books, uniforms and a small stipend. We recognize that for many students the rate limiting step to completing secondary school education is fees.

We presented our inaugural scholarships to 10 deserving students at the official launch of the Foundation on 20th December, 2017 in Kenema, Sierra Leone.  Scholars were selected from public and underesourced schools in the region based on candidate results in the Basic Education Certificate Examination and their commitment to pursue their studies in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).  We congratulate each of our deserving scholarship recipients!
